I celebrated my birthday this past week. It wasn’t a major milestone—nothing that ended in a zero or five—but it was a fun day nonetheless. To make it even better, I received several birthday cards and notes in the mail wishing me a fabulous year.
I’m not sure if the death of the holiday card is eminent (I hope not!), but the birthday card trend is still alive … and I’m loving it!
Do you still send birthday cards? Do you write personal notes in them?

I love birthday cards, especially funny ones!!!
I do too, but I also like the ones that have very specifically been picked out for me, and I can tell.
For me, sending (sometimes making) birthday cards is a big pleasure. Indeed, it’s like a “excuse” to write once a year to some friends or relatives whom I don’t write often. However, I don’t get a bunch of postcards (it was my birthday last week, too). But I just love every postcard, e-mail or phone call to wish me a happy year!
So I wish you too!
Thanks Eva! As much as I love other holidays, there’s something really awesome about a day that belongs just to me!
I send birthday cards to a few people, and when I do, I try to always write a note.
Thanks for your comment, Sarah, and thanks for sending handwritten notes!
Birthday is a special day and to make it special our friends and relatives sends cards and gifts to us. The trend of sending cards is going on, but the way of sending them is changed. People are using online stores to send cards. From here http://cardscomplete.blogspot.in/2012/05/birthday-cards-cards-complete-believes.html, you can send them.
I still think a handheld card is so much more meaningful than an online card. It’s going to be hard to convince me otherwise.
