I have only met my husband’s aunt in person once, but I remember her being spritely and happy, bubbly and full of laughter. I honestly don’t know much about her—what she does for a living, where she grew up, what she enjoys doing in her spare time. But when I was fishing around for some ideas on who to send this week’s letter to, my husband suggested Georgi, simply for the fact that she has hosted foreign exchange students before, so we have something in common.
Because I don’t know Georgi well, I don’t have much to say about our relationship except for the fact that I still believe that everyone likes to receive snail mail. And so, with that in mind, I wrote her a casual letter about what we’ve been up to as a family, especially as it relates to my husband, since he is the link that connects Georgi and me.
